GEMMA KENNEY joined Connick, Myers, McNamee & Fitzgerald, P.L.L.C. in 2018. She received her Bachelor's Degree from the University in Scranton in Political Science and Criminal Justice with a concentration in Women's Studies, and her Juris Doctorate from New York Law School. While in law school, Ms. Kenney worked full-time as a Student Legal Assistant in the Bronx County District Attorney's Office. After graduation from law school, she remained at the Bronx District Attorney's Office in the criminal court unit and as both a misdemeanor and felony Assistant District Attorney in the Domestic Violence and Sex Crimes Unit.
Ms. Kenney is admitted to practice before the courts of New York State, as well as the states of New Jersey and Connecticut, and Washington, D.C. Prior to joining Connick, Myers, McNamee & Fitzgerald, she was an associate and then a partner at Angel & McCarthy, where she practiced in the area of medical malpractice. Ms. Kenney handles cases from inception through trial. She has extensive trial experience in both civil and criminal cases, and has obtained numerous verdicts on behalf of her clients.
Ms. Kenney is an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Malverne. She serves on a number of school committees as well as the School Board, where she gives pro bono legal representation to parents who have children with special needs.
